WORKSHOPS & CLASSES for Spring/Summer 2018

















ONE DAY PERSPECTIVE DRAWING WORKSHOP at Gallery 510
April 27 -  Friday 10am-4pm – Fee $45.
June 19 – Tuesday 10am-4pm – Fee $45.
This workshop will teach some of the most important perspective concepts for landscape painting or drawing. Understanding one and two-point perspective is the key to success in realistic art. Learn how to make windows, doors and architectural details look correct thru demonstrations and instruction.  Supply list is minimal.

ONE DAY STILL LIFE DRAWING WORKSHOP at Gallery 510
May 15 -  Tuesday 10am-4pm – Fee $45.
The day will focus on basic drawing concepts including perspective, how to see proportions and tonal drawing. If you need to refine your drawing skills as a foundation for painting or just want to improve your drawing skills this class is for you.  Demonstrations are part of the class. Students will be working from still life set-ups supplied by teacher. Supply list is minimal.

2 DAY WORKSHOP – SEEING VALUE & UNDERSTANDING COLOR
June 20 & 21, Thursday & Friday, 10am-4pm – Fee $85.
Whether you paint in watercolor, acrylic or oil, this 2-day workshop will help you improve your understanding of value and color. The first day will be spent studying value and how it helps define form and create spatial illusion.  Day two will be a study of color, warm vs. cool colors, how to mix colors more accurately and how to see the value of colors.

ONE DAY INTRODUCTION TO OIL PAINTING WORKSHOP at Gallery 510
June 29 -  Friday 10am-4pm - Fee $45
Loretta will do a demonstration painting, explain supplies and discuss the basic techniques of working with oil paint.  Instruction will be given on surfaces to paint on, palette set-up, paint mediums, brushes and safe handling of oil paint.  Supply list available upon registration.

Loretta Puncer has taught drawing and painting for the past 12 years at a variety of places including Rosewood Arts Center, the Dayton Art Institute and her own studio.  She is comfortable working with students at all skill levels. 

Gallery 510 Fine Art - Loretta’s gallery/studio is located in downtown Dayton’s Historic Oregon District at 508 East Fifth Street. Parking is available in front of the gallery on Fifth St., behind the gallery off of Sixth & Jackson Sts. or on Jackson St. just West of the gallery.
